DS advises Fnac Darty on signing a greenfield PPA with Valeco

A DS Avocats team composed of Véronique Fröding, Stéphane Gasne and Grégory Gutierrez, partners, advised the Fnac Darty group on the signing of a greenfield PPA with Valeco, a leader in renewable energy projects from their development to their dismantling.

The PPA (power purchase agreement) covers the production of a photovoltaic park to be built in the Centre-Val de Loire region, with an installed capacity of 20MW. This future solar farm, which will be built in 2023, will cover 16% of the annual energy consumption of Fnac Darty sites in France.

As part of the group’s commitment to reduce its carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, this new PPA follows on the heels of a previous wind power purchase agreement signed in January 2021 with Valeco. Combined, the two contracts will represent one third of the group’s annual consumption.
