Biography

Mélanie Sauriol is a partner at our Montréal office. She practices as a member of our Labour and Employment Law group. She also has a great deal of experience in health care law, which allows her to advise various organizations that work in these areas on administrative issues. As part of her practice, she works on cases pertaining to labour law, grievance arbitration, labour standards, the protection of personal information, and human rights. She also has expertise in non-competition and non-solicitation clauses, and represents employers at the federal and provincial levels. 

Mélanie has a great deal of experience in litigation. As part of her practice, she is regularly called to appear before the courts. Namely, she has appeared before various administrative tribunals, the Tribunal administratif du travail (TAT), the Commission d’accès à l’information, the Tribunal administratif du Québec, the Court of Québec, the Superior Court, and the Court of Appeal. 

Mélanie first started practicing in 2004 for a national firm. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration before starting her legal studies at Université de Montréal where she did particularly well, earning several bursaries and a number of excellence awards. She practices in both French and English.

  • Volunteer with the YWCA Legal Information Clinic; 
  • Secretary of the Board for the Rosemont baseball organization since 2018.
