Arrival of Stéphane Gasne

DS Avocats is pleased to announce the arrival of Stéphane Gasne as a Partner, strengthening our expertise in Energy / Infrastructure / Projects.

As part of a team in France of 10 partners and nearly 20 associates and internationally of more than 60 lawyers, Stéphane Gasne brings his expertise in project finance, project development and infrastructure construction.

Stéphane Gasne has a solid experience of almost 20 years on major projects across Europe, Africa and Asia, accompanying major players in the energy and construction sector, as well as development banks, infrastructure funds and sponsors.

Stéphane Gasne began his career at Gide, where he had been seconded 5 years in Shanghai to work on infrastructure projects.

He was then legal director for Colas, one of the leaders in transport infrastructure, then legal director of the East African Development Bank. He joined the Paris office of Pinsent Mason as a Partner in 2015.

A a graduate of Sciences-Po Paris, he holds a DEA in international law and a DESS in public economic law. Registered at the Paris bar, Stéphane is also a solicitor in England and a member of the East Africa Law Society.

DS Avocats is pleased to announce the arrival of Benjamin Potier as a Partner, reinforcing our Insurance offer alongside partner Safine Hadri.

Benjamin is affiliated to the Commercial & Competition and Environment departments.

He brings his expertise in litigation before all French courts: civil, commercial, administrative and criminal. Benjamin has extensive experience in mass litigation (asbestos exposure disputes, air crashes) and cross-border litigation, as well as in industrial risk.

His clients consists in French and foreign companies in a wide variety of sectors: air transport, sport, insurance and health.

His expertise is recognised by Who’sWho Legal, Best Lawyers and Legal 500. He is a member of the French Society of Air and Space Law (SFDAS) and of the Association for Risk Management and Corporate Insurance (AMRAE).

The complementarity with the existing offer of DS Avocats will allow us to propose to our clients, insurers, reinsurers, insurance intermediaries and insureds, a sectorial approach to insurance, particularly in terms of claims management as well as regulatory aspects, both in consulting and litigation.

Benjamin began his career with the French law firm Lussan and joined the American law firm Reed Smith in 2007. He then joined Clyde & Co. in 2009, where he was promoted Legal Director / Partner in 2016.

He holds an airplane pilot’s license.
