At DS Avocats, we understood a long time ago that our sense of responsibility must match the trust our clients, associates and partners across the globe place in us.

Our legal practice is guided by the principles of ethics, solidarity and respect for the environment. These are translated into tangible objectives in DS Avocats’ 2025 Strategic Development Plan and are the central thread of our reflection and actions on corporate social and environmental responsibility.

A member of the Global Compact since 2015, our corporate social and environmental commitment actively contributes to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is centered on three pillars :

1. Environmental – complying with the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the fight against the loss of biodiversity and the depletion of natural resources ;

2. Social – favouring an engaged HR policy that focuses on diversity, equality and equal training of men and women at DS Avocats ;

3. Economic – developing the pro bono practice.

The expertise of DS Durabilité

DS Avocats assists companies in achieving compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which mandates enhanced non-financial reporting for many large companies starting in 2024. Following the Omnibus I Regulation of April 3, 2025, mid-cap companies and listed SMEs will be encouraged to engage on a voluntary basis while awaiting the entry into force of binding European texts under the forthcoming Omnibus II Regulation in 2027.

DS Avocats has been accredited by COFRAC for nearly 10 years to verify non-financial performance declarations (DPEF) and to review policies of mission-driven companies, based on ISO 17029 standards. Since the CSRD came into effect, DS Avocats has been registered with the High Authority for Audit (H2A), notably due to its recognized expertise in environmental law, sustainable development, labor law, and corporate governance.

DS Avocats recently established a dedicated subsidiary, DS Durabilité, focused on statutory sustainability audits and the verification of annual sustainability reports.

Our subsidiary, DS Durabilité, works in collaboration with RSE France, a subsidiary of the APAVE group, and Arthaud & Associés, a financial advisory and audit firm, both of which are also registered with the H2A. Together, we aim to offer a strong alliance built on a multidisciplinary team of legal, technical, and financial experts, providing assurance services for sustainability report verification and broader CSR implementation as a trusted third party.
